What do you do when the new God is holding out in front of you doesn’t look like the way you expected it to?
I can trace my steps through disappointment.
The disappointment of dreams that died.
The disappointment that my ambition and drive and desire ended in.
The disappointment that showed hope wasn’t a trustworthy friend.
The disappointment from dreaming big, failing—no, stumbling and then a crash landing…
That knocked out all of the wind of hoping, dreaming, praying, reaching for those kind of big things.
God is in the unexpected.
He calls out in the midst of the whirlwind, of plans upended, of direction deflated…
And calls out:
“Come.”
God is inviting me in the whirlwind into a new path that’s always been marked out for me.
Do I have the courage to begin exploring?
Do I have the faith to believe He’s not still good but never stopped being good?
Do I have the wherewithal to return to old visions dimmed and hopes dashed…
Enough to have the boldness to ask…
For resurrection?
And here comes Jesus…
With the kind face and gentle leadership to ask…
“What do you want Me to do for you?”
38 years, Lord.
Many moments of hope and failure.
And now—now You ask?!!! 😮🤦🏾♀️
“Say ‘yes’ to her, whatever she asks in Your Name,” I almost hear the Father whisper.
God, grant me the courage I have to name what my very heart wants…
So I can watch You change me, change this, change that, change…
Everything.
Unexpectedly.
God is doing a new thing in you and I know it must be hard for you to accept it just go with what He is about to do in your life. don’t go outside of His plan for your life. Lv. Mom🎸🎸🎸💒
